Subject:   Larkin Street Youth Services Clothing Drive

Helping Kids Get Off The Street For Good

Due to the overwhelming response the clothing drive has been extended until Tuesday, August 3rd!!! Bins will be located in the lobbies of both 395 and 400 Oyster Point.

Founded in 1984, San Francisco’s Larkin Street Youth Services is an internationally recognized leader providing innovative, effective housing, medical, social and education al services to at-risk homeless and runaway youth ages 12-24 across 25 programs and 13 sites. Eighty percent of youth who complete Larkin Street’s comprehensive programs exit street life.

An important part of the success of the LSYS program is their ability to present professional individuals. Oyster Point Marina Plaza is working with Larkin Street Youth Services to collect professional work attire and toiletry items for their organization. Below is a list of requested item, but all donations of gently used clothing will be accepted.

Clothing
Sizes medium – extra large. New or gently worn.
Outerware:
Jackets and coats, knit caps/gloves/scarves
Casual clothing: Sweaters, hooded sweatshirts & sweatpants, blue jeans
Interview clothing: Ties, long sleeve button-down shirts, pant and skirt suits, skirts and dresses
Shoes: Athletic shoes, men’s and women’s dress shoes. Please no high-heeled shoes.

Toiletries
Travel and regular sizes, new only:
Toothbrushes & toothpaste
Body lotion
Deodorant
Shampoo & Conditioner
Toiletry bags
Lip balm
Disposable razors
Soap
Shaving cream
Brushes/combs
