TENANT MEMORANDUM

From:    Building Management

Subject:    Energy Awareness Bulletin

As you know, every year when the weather gets hot we are faced with potential power shortages during the peak demand months of the summer.  A series of very hot, humid days could strain the utility company’s capacity and their ability to provide adequate power resulting in the need to curtail electrical usage.  We all play an important role in helping to ensure the continued availability of power for the purpose of maintaining our business operations.  We are asking all tenants to do their part.  Attached is a list of energy conservation tips that we ask you to incorporate into your daily routine.

Your preparation and willingness to reduce electric consumption will hopefully decrease the threat of voltage reductions (brown outs) and involuntary curtailments (black outs) when high demand periods develop. The Pacific Gas & Electric Company is asking all users to prepare to help support the system during electrical power emergencies by curtailing their electrical usage.

Thank you for your attention to this important issue.  If you have questions, please contact the Building Management Office.
